Mwache Dam Project Coordinator, Eng. Simon Kibachio, today welcomed the World Bank team led by Mr. Pieter Waalewijn, Lead Water Resources Management Specialist and Task Team Leader (TTL), on the third day of the World Bank Support Mission.

The meeting, held with the Coast Water Works Development Agency, focused on key areas including institutional arrangements, CWWDA’s readiness for dam operations, updates on downstream components, and impoundment timelines.

The discussions are critical in ensuring a smooth transition from project implementation to operations, with proper institutional arrangements and operational readiness in place. This will support an effective handover upon completion and contribute to the long-term sustainability, functionality, and longevity of the Mwache Dam Project.
