The Mwache Dam Project Management Unit rep, Community Liaison Officer (CLO) Mwanasha Ramadhan, welcomed community representatives and the local administration to a stakeholder engagement meeting chaired by Kasemeni ACC Geoffrey M. Mwachofi at the project boardroom in Fulugani Village. The meeting focused on identifying and mapping potential community inconveniences ahead of the dam impoundment.
The community raised key concerns, including potential waterborne diseases, road access, wildlife interference, reservoir safety, and other anticipated challenges.
This engagement provides an important platform for the project to understand these potential risks and develop appropriate mitigation measures, ensuring that the benefits of the Mwache Dam Project are realized while safeguarding the well-being of surrounding communities. Through continuous dialogue and collaboration, the project remains committed to leaving the community better off with lasting positive impacts.
